QIU YANG. Qin Yang nació y se crió en Changzhou, China. Estudió dirección de cine en el Victorian College of the Arts, Australia. Su último cortometraje A Gentle Night fue seleccionado para el 70° Festival de Cannes de Cortometrajes en 2017. Y en 2015, su cortometraje Under the Sun fue seleccionado para el 68° Festival de Cannes Cinéfondation y es ahora seleccionado para más de 80 festivales de cine internacionales, incluyendo el AFI Fest, Nuevos Directores / Nuevas Películas, Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs y nominado para el 52º Taipei Golden Horse Award.Y ha sido elegido para participar en la Academia de Cine Golden Horse de Taipei, siendo asesorado por el legendario maestro de cine Hou Hsiao Hsien, así como por la residencia Swatch Art Peace Hotel en Shangai. Actualmente desarrolla su primer proyecto Under the Sun (mismo título que el corto), que fue seleccionado para el CineMart 2016 y Cinéfondation Residence 2017
